Fire extinguisher servicing is essential and is documented in NFPA 10. It is vital that they work when they are needed. The NFPA – which provide guidelines for fire safety – state that annual maintenance of fire protection equipment, including fire extinguishers must be carried out by a competent person
Fire extinguishers require an annual inspection from a competent person once the technician has completed the service they will discuss any further work required with you on the day. What our fire extinguisher service includes ABC DCP dry chemical ,AFFF foam , FM 200 gas refilling ,wet chemical ,co2 gas refilling ,Halotron gas refilling .
Depending on the type of fire extinguisher you have, our engineers will generally carry out the following:
- Checking every part of the fire extinguisher for ware or damage, this includes: safety devices, valves, operating mechanisms and gauges
- Checking externally and internally for any corrosion
- Checking that the weight of the fire extinguisher is within the appropriate range
- Producing a ‘Certificate of inspection’, a legal document ro be carried out on the fire extinguishers that will be kept and stored by both the engineers and yourself to ensure you are complying with regulation
